You are Creative

Do you think you are creative?  Chances are you probably don’t.  Somehow, many of us have gotten the message over the years that we aren’t creative beings.  We mistakenly think creativity is a gift only given to artists, writers, designers and folks like that.  I encourage you to think again about your creativity.  You don’t have to pick up a paintbrush, pen or a camera to be creative.

Think about how you live your life.  You can be creative in how you care for your family, your home, how you pick your wardrobe, tend your garden, how you enjoy a hobby, and even how you choose the food you will prepare and serve; the possibilities are endless and so is your creative potential.  Take time to play and explore in every aspect of your life.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

What better time than now to look for the creative spark within.  It is almost spring and the Maple sap is flowing.  It’s time to get your creative juices flowing too.   And to help you on your journey, I’ve included a couple of links for inspiration.  House Beautiful provides some practical advice to consider if you will be repainting and/or redecorating your house.  Also you can join me over at Pinterest.  There folks play around and curate creative inspiration as a “jumping off point”; don’t forget to get up from the computer and live that creativity though.

And if you are still feeling uncreative or a bit nervous, remember:  “Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.” — Mary Lou Cook

Have a great time rediscovering your creative spirit!

Warm regards,

Bill
