Wellesley Interior Makeover with A Better Way Redesign

Sue, owner and founder of A Better Way Redesign, is an incredibly creative interior designer. She has an extraordinary eye for design and an immense talent for creating spaces that express the client’s personality and lifestyle. We are honored to frequently work with her and are particularly impressed with her work on an extensive and challenging interior makeover project in Wellesley.

For this dining room and living room project, Sue helped her clients articulate their vision and utilized many approaches to realize it. We reconciled all of the conflicting tasks and different tradework schedules so that work could be completed seamlessly. The project featured high-gloss polished lacquer trim in the dining room, the addition of architectural beams with lights to the faux painted ceiling, and a custom painted map of Paris on the floor. In both rooms, luxurious custom-textured wall coverings were installed. Each treatment required a high level of craftsmanship and precise coordination of timing among different craftsmen. We worked with Level Five Painting, and Bradshaw Wallcovering along with Sue’s team.

In addition to mapping out and guiding which portions of the project would be tackled when, we also needed to ensure that the home looked neat and presentable during renovations. Sue goes above and beyond to serve her clients. In this case, she organized the project with us so that the clients could hold holiday parties, even while the work was ongoing. That required us to repeatedly visit the home to patch up electrical work holes and repaint the surfaces.

In the pictures, photographed by Michael Lee Photography, you can see the stunning result. Shiny surfaces, bold wall covering, custom furniture and dramatic ceilings and trim create an elegant feel. We painted the ceiling with Tricorn Black and we applied Grizzle Gray on the trim. The client was delighted, and we are proud of our role in transforming those spaces.
