Create Your Unique Bedroom with Color – Part 2

We are continuing our exploration of using color to create your unique bedroom. We will delve into four more color categories: whites and pastels, spa, jewel tones, and yes, classic colors.

White and Pastel Bedroom Colors

If you want a gorgeous white that can serve as a solid background for your bedroom design, Benjamin Moore’s Simply White is just the color for you. Simply White is a brilliant and versatile white that is neither cool nor warm. You can layer brightly-colored bed textiles or neutrals. You can change your bedroom accessories and design with the seasons without any interference from your wall color. Keep in mind that light reflects light. White walls keep a bedroom bright. This color helps keep your mood easy and light. For a creamier color, you can try Snowbound from Sherwin Williams. It is a crisp and warm color without yellow undertones. If white is not your cup of tea, you can also try pastels such as Palladian Blue or Pink Bliss from Benjamin Moore.

Spa Bedroom Colors

If you love the relaxation your feel at your favorite spa, why not create that same feeling in your bedroom. Spas have light, airy atmospheres while others have a cozy feel. Paint can help create either of these environments in your bedroom. For a light feel, you can use billowy whites that have the look of clouds or blues and greens that have the feel of clear, cool pools. The only rule really is to choose a color that makes you feel relaxed or grounded. Winter Ice from Benjamin Moore is a perfect choice.

Jewel Tone Bedroom Colors

Jewel Tones create a luxurious feel to any bedroom. Colors such as teal, emerald green, sapphire blue, and ruby red lend a rich and exotic feel to the atmosphere. These bold colors can be softened with white curtains, neutral wall art, or bed textiles. These are wonderful colors that are full of personality. Deep Breath by Behr is a color to try.

Classic Bedroom Colors

Finally, we come to the classic bedroom colors. Sometimes, classic colors are the best design solution. These colors are solid and steady and aren’t affected by design trends.  You can choose two-color combinations to jazz up the classic color scheme. Complementary color duos are traditional yet striking. Combinations such as the classic red and green are worth a look. You can choose darker hues such as cranberry and pine, lighter hues such a coral and mint, or retro-looking lime and cherry.  Peaches, such as Neighborly Peach by Sherwin Williams, and other muted tones work beautifully if you wish to hold to a single color design. We are happy to help you discover color duos that express your taste and personality.
