Love Your Mother Earth Colors!

Earth Day is April 22nd. What better way to connect with the what sustains all humanity than by choosing Mother Earth colors in your home design? These earthy hues can warm up any space. They are perfect for an accent or feature wall. Never drab, these warm, earthy colors are a unique tribute to the beauty of our natural world. In this article, we will explore beautiful earth tones created by several different paint manufacturers such as Farrow & Ball, Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams. These colors are favorites of clients, painters and designers alike.

Benjamin Moore is one of our favorite paint manufacturers. They consistently create beautiful. long-lasting paint. Nature has designed beautiful birds and beaches. Two of our favorite Benjamin Moore mother earth colors capture those special features of our world. They are Carolina Gull (213840) and Hidden Cove (CSP-1030). Carolina Gull reminds us of the beautiful feathers of the gull. It is a bold and saturated color and sure to add elegance and style to your space. Benjamin Moore keeps us at the shore with Hidden Cove. This color has a beachy sand hue that will take you back to your favorite beach hideaways.

Sherwin Williams also makes gorgeous earthy tones. Two of our favorites are Sashay Sand (SW6051) and Shell White (SW8917). Sashay Sand has a pink undertone and looks a bit like the pink sands of Tangsi Beach in Thailand. You can imagine yourself on its relaxing shores every time you step into the room. Shell White looks exactly likes its name. This particular white looks like the crisp white shells you find on an early morning beachcombing excursion.

Our third and final paint manufacturer is Farrow & Ball. This paint and wallcovering maker is one of the most celebrated paint manufacturers in the world. Their process for paint and wallcovering manufacturing is one of the most refined of any company. Our favorite, earthy colors from Farrow & Ball are Dorset Cream (No. 68) and Cooking Apple Green (No. 32). Let’s pause a minute and appreciate what a unique, fun and on point the name Cooking Apple Green is for a paint color. Either of these luscious colors would bring warmth to a kitchen, bedroom, child’s room or any room you would like. Both colors are classic and refined, yet bring a sense of comfort to any space.
