Juneteenth 2020!

Hey folks.

Happy Juneteenth! This holiday has taken on a renewed urgency these days. It was two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation that black people in Galveston, Texas, who had been trafficked and held in bondage, found out that they were free. Two and a half years later.

The Emancipation Proclamation was just the beginning of our country attempting to live up to its ideals, and we know that we’re not there yet. To get there, we need to be with one another and speaking up and demanding justice, justice for all. And when that happens, freedom will truly ring across this land. Have a great day!

Be well,

Bill
