Yes It’s October

The leaves have just begun to turn. Mums are popping up on front porches and balconies all through the town. Maybe you’ve already gone apple or pumpkin picking. The days are slowly cooling, and the seasonal darkness is approaching. I too enjoy savoring each season, taking in its special beauty. Autumn is the time when our little corner of the Earth starts to slow down and prepare for rest. It’s also the time right before the holidays rush in. There is so much to prepare for and enjoy. Whether you celebrate many of the fall and wintertime holidays, or none at all, now is a great time to prepare your home for the winter.

You know when the realization hits you. You are searching for the old family recipes, digging out the turkey platter or starting to hang lights and then you notice those walls. At this point, you know Magic Eraser isn’t enough. The walls simply need a fresh coat of paint.

A freshly painted room can be just the touch you need as you decorate for the holidays, and entertain family and friends. A freshly painted room will brighten the dreariest of winter days-you know the ones. Last winter was pretty challenging for many of us in New England, but whether winter is hard or easy, many of us spend more time inside during the winter months. This means more time to notice the little chips and cracks in the paint, the fingerprints or the tired wall color that was once so fresh.

Halloween is just around the corner. I know it’s just now apple cider donut time, but if you want to get a head start on holiday or wintertime preparations, the time to book your paint contractor is now. Book us for a day or two. That is enough time for us to make a big difference in your home. After you do that, it’s time for you to slow down and rest. Sit back and enjoy that donut and pumpkin spiced latte.
